Charity Skate across Canada

Mathew Granger

My name is Mathew Granger and I am a 17 year old high school student at Regina Mundi Catholic Secondary School.  I'm currently attending grade 12. During two weeks in mid-August I rollerbladed from Tobermory, Ontario through Kincardine down to Sarnia, Chatham and then I finally returned home to London (Ontario).

My journey was called Blade for A Cure and I did this all in the name of charity. I rollerbladed close to 70km a day for a 12 day time period. I did this because I wanted to raise awareness for the disease not many people knew or know about, the disease is Parkinson's.

It was a close family friend who had this disease and I became more familiar with Parkinson's so I decided to try and make others more aware of it since there are so many other disease being recognized. I am planning on rollerblading from Edmonton all the way down back again to London Ontario, which is my home city. I would love it if anyone would sponsor me in any way.  I have been using K2 V02 Max Rollerblades but I wish to gain a pair meant for long distance or meant for cross training something maybe with 100mm wheels and a short cut boot. I plan to do my next journey in mid summer of the year 2007.  Thank you for taking this time to read my message or short write up about who I am and why I'm doing this.( I attached some pictures to so hope you like them)

Thank you so much for your time.

Mat can be contacted at m_leafs16@hotmail.com
