Learn how to Rollerblade London UK

Personal / Individual skating lessons

Personal learn to rollerblade lessons are the quickest way to improve and learn skating correctly.  They get you focused personal attention and the best quality instruction in London.  Learn better balance, confidence, stopping and turning, skate faster and glide for longer, crossovers, backwards, tricks, etc.

I'm a IISA Level 2 certified instructor.  Less than 10% of instructors in the UK are certified level 2 or above, and additionally have up-to-date public liability insurance.  I'm also the LondonSkaters Speed Team coach, though I enjoy street skating and the occasional bit of inline hockey too.  I'll teach you what you want to learn, but usually starting with basic skating skills that will be utilised in any skating discipline.

When?

Lessons are available weekends all year and weekday mornings and evenings in the summer.  Fill out the form below to book for lessons, or call 07714 096 972.

Where?

Roller blading lessons are taught almost exclusively in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.  These two parks are London's skating destination and have great smooth surfaces for teaching on.  They are the social centre of skating in London and attract thousands of skaters in the summer.

Terms and conditions

  • I insist that all students wear at least wrist guards and knee pads - everybody will fall sooner or later.  Because of the risk of a fall and subsequent injury, some people also choose to wear elbow pads and/or a helmet, but that is your personal decision.  Bear in mind that protective gear doesn't necessarily prevent injury in a fall.
  • Skating is usually considered a dangerous sport.  You thus accept a risk of injury by choosing to come skating, and that during lessons this same risk of injury is still present.
  • There are times where the weather affects safety - usually a wet surface is enough to force me to postpone the lesson.  I want to teach you as much as you want the lesson to go ahead, but I also don't want to risk your safety.
  • Packages/vouchers/courses only expire after six months so you can book your prepaid lessons as and when convenient to you.
  • Packages/vouchers/courses are non-refundable once you've taken the first lesson.
  • Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee of half the lesson price.
  • Prices and special offers, together with lesson location and terms and conditions may change without prior notice.  They may also be at odds to publicized facts and prices.
  • If a particular course is undersubscribed, I reserve the right to cancel.  This may happen at the first lesson, and it's not always possible to tell in advance since deposits aren't required for bookings.
  • Right of admission to lessons is reserved.
