As part of the move to a new host, I've installed a bulletin board to host skating discussions.  Please come and chat with us!

I've posted a new video clip.  It's a bit of a beast at 13MB, and is about the London Skate, which is one of two streetskates in London.  By street skates I mean mass group skates that are generally tours through part of a city rather than the aggressive term.  These are excellent fun, and if you haven't been on one and there is a skate in your area, IMO it's well worth a try.  Here's the video - be warned that 13MB is a long download.

Steven Runyeard posted this article on the London trip to the Le Mans 24 hour roller marathon.  Looks like everyone had a lot of fun while getting very tired!  Congratulations to the two teams who took part - that's an impressive result. Out of the 400 or so teams, team Arnage came 136th with 121 laps and team Mulsanne came 54th and completed 136 laps.

Duncan Clarke has reviewed a pair of Rollerblade TRS Access aggressive inline skates here.  Duncan has been skating for a long time now, concentrating on aggressive, and is the webmaster of inlineskate.co.uk, the well known UK skating site.  It's an excellent resource, and is well worth browsing.

For any skate webmasters out there, Duncan also runs the Inline Skating Banner eXchange, which you might want to consider joining.  It's free, skating-focused, and gets LondonSkaters.com a lot of new visitors.  If you're wondering why I'm not currently running the banner, it's because LondonSkaters.com is maxed out with banner display credits earned by the large numbers of visitors this site gets.  I intend putting the banner back within two weeks as I'll need to start earning more banner display credits again.

Posted this article on some informal streetskates held during the Jubilee festival here in London, UK.  Looks like these guys had a tremendous amount of fun with so many streets closed to traffic.

Nice weather this weekend!  I had a great time skating around the Park yesterday, and also playing some hockey.  My Bauer Vapor 8's were killing my feet by the end of the day, so I think I need to go get them baked in a skate oven and try again. 

Asha sent in an update on inline skating lessons and courses run by SkateFresh.  They're offering some new courses, covering things such as skating in the urban environment and beginners' slalom.
