I took a couple of pictures at the Peace One Day skate on Saturday.  I really enjoyed this skate - nice and small, plenty of marshals, and chilled and relaxed.

Here in London there's a new IISA/ICP Instructor course for Level 1's.  It will be held starting 18th October, and more details can be found here on the forums.

Saturday 31st August

I've published some photos and text from an interview with Christophe Pointreau of the UK Skate Patrol here.  I wanted to find out what the UK chapter was up to, and understand some of their aims and goals with respect to inline skating.

XSFred has written an article on customizing speedskates here, showing how he customized his boots and frames.

Saturday 24th August

Friday 23rd August

I've released images of the Salomon 2003 FSK range here on the photo gallery.  These images include full sized quality photos direct from the Salomon marketing literature.  If you have any comments, please add them against the images in the gallery, or in this thread about the Salomon 2003 FSK range in our forums.

Thursday 22nd August

Posted the photos from last night's London Skate here in the photo gallery.

Wednesday 21st August

A new barrel roll video - the fast barrel roll on the videos page.  Actually, some of you may spot that this is a re-release, except that I fluffed  the description last time (due to not paying attention) and didn't get around to re-editing the video until now.  :)

Sunday 18th August

Don't forget that Blake's free skating clinic is on this coming Sunday.  See the fitness section for more details.

Friday 16th August

My web host caused major trauma to the site this morning by dumping the databases' contents (and then restoring only one database) whilst making another change.  I managed to restore the forums database, but then discovered that the image thumb-nailing software was also broken.  That leaves the photo gallery working and the images viewable, but unable to accept new uploads at this time.

Thursday 15th August

New launch!  I've installed this skating photo gallery.  It's aimed at allowing skaters around the world to share photos with each other, comment on other peoples' photos, rate them, and tell the interesting story behind your pictures.

I've reviewed the Rotation Station inline skate maintenance stand here.

Monday 12th August

Dan Goscomb has reviewed his pair of Mission Proto VS inline hockey skates here.

Wednesday 7th August

I've edited a new video to go with Mattieu's slide session.  It's intended to show that wearing protection is important when you try new tricks, and that you're unlikely to learn new tricks without stacking.  Check out "That's gotta hurt!" on the videos page.

Monday 5th August

I've updated the newsletter signup page to use an internal mailing list script, migrating this away from Yahoo Groups.  If you already signed up, your email address has been migrated to the new version automatically.  That will mean no more Yahoo adverts that don't have any relevance for most of us.  Sign up and get an update on skating here and around the internet roughly every month.

Sunday 4th August

Published an article by Bob Cardone on how inline skates never seem to fit as well as any good ice hockey boot.  See a skate that really fits!

Friday 2nd August

I've edited a new video, this time of a series of sliding stops by Mathieu Guthinger.  Check out the videos page.
