Here's Gary's account of the Berlin Marathon in 2002.  It's a good read and is getting me excited for Goodwood this year.  Think I'd better do some training first as I'm amazingly unfit after not skating much during the winter.

Stalker has arranged the London Unserious Slalom Comp 29 March, 2pm, Hyde Park. It's intended to be fun and simple so anyone can come along and join in.  His goal is to boost interest in slalom and encourage more people to get into it.  Click on the link above to find out more details.

Sometime last year a black taxi cab here in London got very aggressive with the London Skate, and drove through the mass of skaters, knocking some over.  Going by this discussion, it looks like he's pleaded guilty so hopefully this will discourage other taxi drivers from trying the same.  Most London taxi drivers are actually great folk, but a few struggle to tolerate the London street skates when they have to wait a few minutes for all the skaters to pass.

Happy New Year to all you skaters out there!  Hope you had a good Christmas and got lots of skating presents?  The winter weather here in London is just terrible with it being wet nearly all the time since I got back from holiday.  I'm glad I took my skates with and got some decent skating in Zimbabwe.  One of the fun parts was being able to skate freely around the malls.
