Eagle Sentry GloveReview by Shane DeaconAugust 2001Cost US$155The Eagle glove is one of the most popular gloves in the States at present and as I am aware, not available over here in the UK yet. I managed to order a pair from Quebec in Canada via the internet site HockeyProfessionals.com. I contacted a Mr. Ron Brushet, who was very helpful in informing me of make, model, colour, availability, shipping cost and expected time of arrival. I was then emailed a short time later to tell me the gloves were on their way and to expect them sometime soon. The Eagle glove is very well made and has a pro-comfort grip, which you can tell as soon as you put them on, so there is no need to spend hours trying to break them in. The Eagle glove also has plenty of padding and protection which includes an anti hyper-extension lock thumb which prevents your thumb from being broken should the situation arise. But with all this padding you still have a glove which allows you full flexibility for hand and wrist movement. Another important feature to the glove is the air gussets which allow maximum air flow to the glove to help have stink free gloves, which has always been a problem for me. And by the way, did I forget to mention that the glove looks fantastic, which was a major factor in my purchase. I own the top range Nike glove and also have worn expensive Bilt-Rite and Mission gloves, and they are miles apart from the quality that Eagle provide, so don't be put off by the price because Nike (and other brands) are just as expensive. In this case you get what you pay for, and in my eyes the Eagle will continue to soar.
